Ottawa, ON – Today, Arnold Viersen, MP for Peace River – Westlock is in Ottawa joining colleagues at the Conservative National Caucus meeting. MP Viersen also had a productive one-on-one meeting with Erin O’Toole.

On Tuesday, Conservative Leader Erin O’Toole announced his House Leadership Team and Shadow Cabinet for the second session of the 43rd Parliament.

“Our team is excited, united and ready to fight for Canadians in these uncertain times,” said MP Arnold Viersen. “In the coming weeks, we will be presenting a plan to put hardworking Canadians first, lead our nation out of this crisis and rebuild our great country.”

“I am excited that Conservatives will introduce a Canada-first economic strategy, one that doesn’t cater to elites and special interests, but rather to working Canadians. This is good news for families across Peace River – Westlock who have been hard hit by several tough years of farming, Trudeau’s anti-oil policies, softwood lumber disputes and now the Covid-19 pandemic.

“As the Leader stated this morning: ‘We don’t have much time to spare in getting our country back on track. But we are ready. We are a government-in-waiting, and we’re going to act like it.’”
