MP Congratulates Whitecourt on Making Trivago’s Best Value Destinations List For 2017
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Trivago, an international hotel comparison site, has dubbed Whitecourt as the 2nd best value small town in Canada. Whitecourt was the only Alberta town to make it on the list.
Trivago has published a list of the top 10 most affordable cities in Canada as well the top 10 affordable small towns in response to Canada being named the “World’s Must-See Country” of 2017.
“Whitecourt is a beautiful area and it’s always a real treat for me to come and visit,” said MP Arnold Viersen. “Congratulations to Mayor Maryann Chichak, Jim Rennie and the rest of the councilors on all their hard work promoting the area,” said MP Arnold Viersen.
“This is great news for Whitecourt and Woodlands County. I hope this exciting announcement increases tourist traffic and brings more jobs back to the area,” said MP Viersen.
Whitecourt and Woodlands County have teamed up to promote the area through a series of local initiatives and advertising as well as the creation of the website www.whitecourtwoodlandstourism.com which outlines all the fun and interesting things to do in Whitecourt and the surrounding area.
“Despite getting this national recognition by Trivago for Canada’s 150 birthday celebration, I am disappointed that Whitecourt was passed over by the Liberal government for Canada 150 grants,” said MP Viersen.
