Yesterday, the Trudeau Liberals arrived in Edmonton announcing a plan to buy us off with our own money.
“The Prime Minister believes handing our own money back to us will make us forget all his efforts to shut down our oil and gas industry,” said Peace River–Westlock MP Arnold Viersen.
“As soon as I was elected I started questioning Prime Minister Trudeau’s Cabinet about the problems their policies began creating for our oil and gas industry. After three years, they’ve finally admitted that there is a problem but their so-called ‘solution’ is not what Alberta is asking for. They refuse to listen and this announcement shows how out of touch they really are.”
Canada needs a federal government that champions its oil and gas industry, just like it does the auto sector.
“External forces are putting pressure on the auto sector while an internal force, specifically the federal Liberal Government, is unfairly targeting our oil and gas producers. Parents are losing their jobs, families are losing their homes, businesses are going bankrupt and communities are struggling. Justin Trudeau could fix this problem without taxpayer dollars by changing direction and repealing his no-more-pipelines Bill C-69.”
